“Dirty Dancing” – 35th Anniversary Movie Screening with Vinnie Medugno and Franke Previte

Join us for a 35th Anniversary singalong screening of the classic 1987 film “Dirty Dancing” as part of the 2022 “Better on the Big Screen” Classic Movie Series sponsored by Williams Eye WorksRichmond University Medical Center, Empire State Bank and Cangiano Estates Ltd.

Hosted by WABC radio personality Vinnie Medugno and featuring a special appearance by Academy Award-winning songwriter Franke Previte for “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life”.   After the movie, take a picture with Franke holding his Oscar statue that he won in 1988 for Dirty Dancing!

Come dressed up as your favorite characters like Baby, Johnny, a watermelon or even “Baby in a Corner”!  There’s nothing like seeing your favorite movie on the big screen with a community of people who are singing and dancing along with you in their seats!

About Dirty Dancing:

Starring Patrick Swayze, Jennifer Grey, Jeffrey Orbach, and Cynthia Rhodes, Dirty Dancing follows an innocent teen who crushes on a slick, handsome dance instructor at a 1960s upscale Catskills resort. The soundtrack yielded the Oscar-winning Best Song “(I’ve Had the) Time of My Life” performed by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes.

7:00pm – Pre-Show Organ Music by Ian Fraser

7:30pm – “Dirty Dancing” movie screening and singalong

Meet Academy Award-winning songwriter Franke Previte in the lobby after the movie and take a picture with Franke holding his Oscar statue!
