The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Experience – 88th Birthday Celebration

Celebrating the 88th Birthday of Elvis Presley, The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Experience is an amazing era-by-era tribute to the King of Rock-N-Roll starring the best Elvis tribute artists in the world – Shawn Klush and Jay Dupuis.

As most of you already know, Cody Slaughter had broken his ankle and torn his ligaments while performing at Graceland. We are all sending prayers and wishing Cody full recovery. Unfortunately, his recovery will take much longer than expected and he will not be able to make the Jan 14th show at the St. George Theatre. However, Cody and his management have made special arrangements to bring in his close friend, who just happens to also be one of Elvis Presley Enterprises ‘Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artists’, the very talented, Jay Dupuis. He also portrays Elvis in the hit show, Legends in Concert. Jay will now join Shawn Klush for an unforgettable evening celebrating the birthday of the King of Rock N Roll. Those of you with tickets do not need to change a thing. Your tickets and your seating will stay the same. If you haven’t obtained tickets yet to this incredible show, tickets are selling fast. Personal message statement from Cody:

Hey Y’all, Thanks for all your prayers and kind words. It has been a rough one and I am so bummed out that I cannot be there on Jan 14th at the St George Theatre. I promise I will be back as soon as the doctor says that I can perform again. In the meantime, I really want you to get out and enjoy a great show there anyway, from my good friends Shawn Klush and Jay Dupuis. Jay has so graciously agreed to help me out so y’all can still have an awesome night of Elvis Entertainment to help celebrate Elvis’ birthday. God Bless and see you soon!

Shawn Klush:

Born and raised in the small coal-mining town of Pittston, Pennsylvania, Shawn’s love for music led him to begin imitating his musical idol, Elvis Presley. He performed in the famous Poconos region followed by a tour of Canada where he entered and won the $5,000.00 prize in the “Worldwide Elvis Competition” in Montreal. This caught the attention of the award-winning Las Vegas show, “Legends in Concert” where for many years he starred as ‘Elvis’ in their Myrtle Beach, Las Vegas, Branson and Atlantic City show rooms. Each January he stars in the “Elvis Tribute Artist Spectacular Birthday Edition Tour.”, an extravaganza with Elvis’ own musicians, singers, and friends, in major venues in multiple cities.

Shawn has released 5 CDs. He has performed with Elvis’ closest friends, musicians and singers such as JD Sumner and the Stamps Quartet, The Jordanaires, The Imperials, DJ Fontana, Charlie Hodge, Jerry Scheff, The Sweet Inspirations, Joe Guercio, Jerry Schilling and Joe Esposito. He portrayed Elvis in the hit TV miniseries “Shake, Rattle and Roll” which aired on CBS and VH1.

On Elvis’ 70th Birthday, Shawn became grand champion at the $25,000.00 “World Elvis Tribute Artist Competition”. He then received “The People’s Choice Award” from Gibson Guitar Co in Nashville for “Best Concert Elvis”. Shawn was then named the “World’s Greatest Elvis” by 6.5 million international viewers on BBC1 Television in the United Kingdom. Finally, on August 16th, on the 30th anniversary of Elvis’ passing, Shawn was named the ‘First Ever’ “Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist” by Elvis Presley Enterprises in Memphis TN. Shawn has record breaking performances in the US, Switzerland, Canada Australia, the UK and South America. He was named “Worldwide Ambassador of Elvis” at the Las Vegas Hilton where he headlines the annual Las Vegas Elvis Fest, celebrating Elvis’ historic Las Vegas Performances.

Shawn was a featured performer on the Late Show with David Letterman performing to over 5 million viewers with the entire CBS Orchestra on Network Television and just portrayed Elvis in the new HBO TV hit series called Vinyl produced by Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger. Shawn Klush is “The Closest Thing to the King in Concert”

Jay Dupuis:

Jay was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he lived most of his childhood life. Growing up in a house where his father was a professional musician made it very easy for Jay to follow in his dad’s footsteps. It was no surprise that Jay had an ear for music, but at the early age of three, his mom played a record of Elvis Presley singing ‘Hound Dog’. As he listened, his eyes lit up, he smiled with excitement and his hips started to move. Begging his mom to play it over and over again, Jay soon became a huge fan of the King of Rock ‘n Roll. Shortly after, Jay got his first taste of performing, impersonating Elvis for his family and friends at social gatherings. “I would wear white pants and a white dress shirt, flip up my collar to mimic a jumpsuit, pretend I was the King and put on shows for anyone who would watch”.

In 2014, Jay entered the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist World Championship. Its a contest that hosts hundreds of Elvis tribute artists from around the world, who compete to win the title of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist World Champion. This is the only contest that is produced and sanctioned by the estate of Elvis Presley (Elvis Presley Enterprises). After two days of competition, Jay won the world title and is now recognized by Elvis Presley Enterprises as their ULTIMATE WORLD CHAMPION and the best Elvis tribute artist in the entire world. Now as a full-time entertainer, Jay travels the world performing his tribute to Elvis Presley. His vocal ability, incredible likeness, and natural charisma have made him one of the foremost, sought-after Elvis Tribute Artists on the planet. His southern form and captive charm coupled with his uncanny sound and presence will make you feel as if you are watching the King himself.

Jay feels extremely blessed to be able to travel the world performing on stage as his lifelong idol. He also considers being an Elvis tribute artist a true blessing and holds great honor in paying tribute to the greatest entertainer of all time. Jay is currently headlining as Elvis for Legends in Concert in Myrtle Beach SC and also performing at several Elvis Festivals, tours and shows in casinos and theaters around the world.
