It is an evening of magic, memories, and the truth of what it was really like to be the wife of probably the most famous performer in the world.
Priscilla Presley has often been called an Icon of the Entertainment World. Now, in this all-new “Evening With”, Priscilla Presley is finally going to tell HER story of the years with the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley. Priscilla was the only one who actually married the King, and she feels it is time to tell her story. Even though she was only fourteen years old when she met Elvis, her memories are clear and tell a fascinating tale of a young girl who, for reasons she finally explains, was someone whom Elvis wanted to know. And for years after they met, they were inseparable until his passing in 1977.
Priscilla in this hour-plus evening shares film clips that have been private to her, and those include Wedding footage, home movies, and clips from her own personal career in film, and on television in the famed series, “Dallas” on which she starred for five years.
She speaks of Elvis as a husband, as a father, and the challenge of being married to the greatest Rock and Roll star in the world! She talks of how she coped with the attention and the “women” who always seemed to be in their life. It wasn’t easy for a teenager to deal with such fame, for this was something she never imagined would become a part of her life. The evening is strewn with many film clips of their life together, plus private home movies of life at home, on vacation, and the intimate time off that they spent together, and with their only child, Lisa Marie.
As glamourous was her life, it was not always easy, and as Elvis got older, she had to learn how to understand all that surrounded his fame. And then when the end came, she tells, in detail, what it was like to deal with his death.
Most important to her as well, is the dream and work to keep his Legacy alive by appearing in these “Evenings With”, as well as managing one of the most famous tourist locations in America, Graceland.
At the end of the show, the audience has their own opportunity to ask questions of Priscilla and she is always happy to tell her truth as she lived with the King, and at the same time, had to maintain her own life and legacy that accompanies the name, Presley.
