2025 Program Highlights
In Summer 2024, the St. George Theatre hosted its annual Summer Educational Dance, Theater, and Literacy Outreach Program for 65 students ages 9-18. This year’s program theme, “Dancing Around the World,” showcased a vibrant mix of songs and dance styles inspired by diverse cultures from across the globe.
2024 Program Highlights
In Summer 2024, the St. George Theatre hosted its annual Summer Educational Dance, Theater, and Literacy Outreach Program for 65 students ages 9-18. This year, the theme of the program was “Legendary Jazz Artists”, which included the choreography and lyrics from Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole and “All That Jazz”!
2023 Program Highlights
In Summer 2023, the St. George Theatre hosted its annual Summer Educational Dance, Theater, and Literacy Outreach Program for 65 students ages 9-18. This year, the theme of the program was “Broadway to Hollywood!”, which included the choreography and lyrics from popular shows like Hamilton, Phantom of the Opera, MJ and scores from blockbuster movies.
2022 Program Highlights
In Summer 2022, the St. George Theatre hosted its annual Summer Educational Dance, Theater, and Literacy Outreach Program for 65 students ages 9-18. The theme was “Inspiring Icons in Music and Dance” where students learned about and performed numbers to honor Misty Copeland, Alvin Ailey, Debbie Allen, Amanda Gorman, Beyonce, and Aretha Franklin.
2021 Program Highlights
In Summer 2021, the St. George Theatre hosted its annual Summer Educational Dance / Theater / Literacy Outreach Program for children ages 9-18. The theme was “Spoken Word, Rap & Poetry in MOTION Together will INSPIRE!” and featured in-person and virtual classes in song, dance, theater, and spoken word.
This program was made possible, in part, by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
