Universal Temple of the Arts Staten Island JAZZ Festival 36

Universal Temple of the Arts’ Staten Island JAZZ Festival returns to the St. George Theatre for its 36th rendition of jazz excellence, on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, featuring a very dynamic and charismatic set of performances by next-generation jazz musicians, who reflect the diverse tapestry of jazz and its evolution. This year’s extraordinary lineup includes esteemed saxophonist, composer, and vocalist Camille Thurman with her Quartet; innovative harpist Brandee Younger; regal vocalist Alicia Olatuja’s Ensemble; and the three-time Grammy-nominated saxophonist Lakecia Benjamin with her Ensemble. Hosted by WBGO 88.3 FM on-air personality Sheila E. Anderson and curated by Universal Temple of the Arts Musical Director, Dr. Darrell Smith, this festival promises a joyful, hip, eclectic night of jazz.
